Crude. Unattractive. Juvenile.
And yet it’s 1000 times better than not having anything. This map was done pretty quickly with pencil, ruler, and a couple of coins for the elevator circle. It’s a traditional top-down piece and the first map that I’ve drawn since my high school days of D&D and DooM; a long, long time ago. The main element I kept reminding myself while sketching this up was the idea of depth; using the z-axis and having different parts of the room at various elevations.
My pie-in-the-sky idea is to one day go back to these drawings and tweak them for use as geomorphs.
