SET UP

  • As the Crew makes their way through the busy streets of the city, another Crew pushes past them. Moments later a female Caamasi bumps into one of the Crew members.
  • Hescyanne is frustrated that the Crew got in her way, but quickly realizes that they may be able to help her.
  • The Other Crew is a criminal gang that recently escaped from prison, Hescyanne recognized them from a wanted poster and gave chase. While she is no bounty hunter, the Crew might be able to subdue the Other Crew. She will share the reward (5000 credits, split 50/50) with the Crew if they help her. They might be able to negotiate a percentage adjustment after the encounter (if we don’t keep on them now, we’ll never find them), with opposed Negotiate checks. For each success, the percentage shifts 5% in their favor. For every failure, the percentage shifts 5% in Hescyanne’s favor.

AFTERMATH

If the Crew refuses to help Hescyanne:

  • Hescyanne will spit an insult at the Crew, push the Crew member who previously blocked her path and resumes giving chase.

If the Crew assists Hescyanne:

  • Chase begins: Busy city streets —> crowded alleyways —> roof tops —> derelict warehouse
  • Moments after they catch the other Crew Hescyanne reveals her true nature and intentions. She pulls her custom blaster pistol and kills one male from the Other Crew…her former boyfriend. As it turns out, Hescyanne was a part of that gang until she found out that her boyfriend had cheated on her with some hussy after a job. Now that she’s gotten revenge on him, she wants to kill the hussy tech and take the credits from the job. She will keep to her word and split the reward with them, which is really the credits from the job they just completed. 50/50.
  • If the Crew helps Hescyanne kill the other Crew or even just that hussy tech, and get the credits she will split the haul with them. If they refuse, it will turn into a three way fight unless the Crew walks away from the situation.

If the Crew refuses to help Hescyanne, but secretly gives chase:

  • Chase begins: Busy city streets —> crowded alleyways —> roof tops —> derelict warehouse
  • They catch the other Crew as Hescyanne reveals her true nature and intentions.
  • However, Hescyanne hasn’t forgotten about the Crew’s lack of assistance earlier. Mayhem ensues in the form of a three way battle royal.
ADDITIONAL TWISTS

  • The local authorities are also on the look out for the escaped convicts. Make a Hard Perception Check (two green vs three purple) to see if the authorities spot the convicts. If they do, naturally they show up at the worst time and assume all are involved. What would be even worse is if they came and then called for back up if things started to look bad.
  • If the local authorities are on the look out for escaped convicts and there is a reward, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if a bounty hunter or two were also on the look out. Make a Hard Perception Check (three green vs three purple) to see if a bounty hunter spot the convicts. As with the local authorities, they show up when most inconvenient and don’t like the idea of others taking their bounty.
  • The Crew knows one of the escaped convicts. Awkward. Seems like a motivation/obligation moment to me.
  • Perhaps Hescyanne is working in league with another Crew or other bounty hunters. Once the initial fight is over, her friends show up. They’re all rested up and they don’t mind having to fight if they have to.
  • Speaking of fights, they tend to make a lot of noise. Maybe someone reports the fight to the local authorities, who would show up later in the encounter. They demand that all parties surrender.
