UPDATE (01/04/13): Added Stat Blocks page at the top of the blog. Added Word documents available for download. Changed “Henchmen” to “Rival”. Fixed Minion Group skills.
Yesterday, I went on at length about the things I don’t like with the current Edge of the Empire stat blocks and how I would go about fixing them. As promised, here is the entire back catalog of stat blocks from the EotE beta, redone in my new “CSR Style” format.
- Stat Blocks – Droids
- Stat Blocks – Bounty Hunters
- Stat Blocks – Spaceport Personnel
- Stat Blocks – Patrons & Clients
- Stat Blocks – Galactic Underworld
- Stat Blocks – Galactic Oddities
- Stat Blocks – Law & Order
Man, seeing all the dice pools laid out in this open fashion really drives home the gravity that the more challenging Nemeses bring to the table. At a glance, one can easily judge just how many tricks the Emperor’s Hand is going to pull out, for example, or how challenging the social interactions with Hutts will be.

Hello galaxy master Ross!
I must say I`m very impressed with your work on the stat blocks. Would you mind posting a word .doc version of one of your stat block in your Cloud Storage? This would allow all of us fellow galaxy masters to fiddle and create new blocks.
This would be greatly appreciated!

I am absolutely tickled pink at the phrase “Galaxy Master Ross” and delighted that you found the stat blocks so useful. I’ve updated the PAGES across the top of the blog to have a new ‘Stat Blocks’, showing both the PDF and Word Documents available for download. I’ve also updated the documents to change “Henchman” to “Rival”, and I fixed the way Minion Groups’ skills were calculated (I had been doing them slightly incorrectly before).

These are great. Are you planning to update them to match the core rulebook?

Yeah at some point. Too much Star Wars to do, too little time!

Where is the link to the word download? I guess I’m technologically challenged. I could start updating it for you.

Haven’t started up a campaign (still working my way through the rule book around other things) but consider these swiped and turned to the dark side. :-) One of the things I love at D&D 4e is the stat block, and I’m glad you came up with a clear way to make the SW NPCs work in a similar way.
