So it’s been brought to my attention that the now-defunct GSA has stopped hosting their pages, and thus the individual links for Rogue Events 06 through 15 are bunk. Yikes! This is very disappointing and disheartening. Although to be frank, not too surprising as there are some people behind the scenes there who are not team players as much as I would like.
Anyway.
The events are immediately available and have been for some time via the summary document at the bottom of the Rogue Events Page. I’ll be reposting events 06 through 15 over the next few days and weeks as well for completion’s sake.
In addition, throughout the rest of the 2016 calendar year, I’ll be telling you guys about my Thousand Worlds campaign, which is scifi and technically used the Edge of the Empire system, so I suppose it’s appropriate to post here. I know it’s been basically forever since I’ve really used this blog, so I appreciate the patience. I’ve been going through a long phase of wanting to play and write in the medieval fantasy kind of mode, and am now getting back into space and scifi. And as you should know by now, I only write about what I’m passionate about. After I’ve exhausted The Thousand Worlds, though, this blog may very well go back to being dormant. Who knows? We’ll see where my muse takes me.

This Rogue Event can be encountered either by happenstance or as directed by the decoded star system coordinates found in Rogue Event 01 – Ancient Jedi Device.
DESCRIPTION
You enter a new star system and long range sensors detect a single vessel of Silhouette 4 at the far end of the system. Do you move in to investigate?
INVESTIGATE
You find what appears a derelict shuttlecraft being smashed to pieces by the surrounding, dense asteroid field. You detect no power readings or life signs and multiple hull breaches. However, a weak, automated distress signal can be heard over the comm static. This looks dangerous.

Following the recent publication of my Rogue Event 15 – De-Activated Imperial Probe on the GSA, I’ve gotten a few requests to put together a quick compilation of these first fifteen for easy reference at the table. This is actually a pretty good time for this to happen as I’m planning on taking a breather from Rogue Events for at least a little while. Well, who am I to disappoint the fans?
BEHOLD!

Another Rogue Event of mine got put up at the GSA site for hosting. I’m not really sure what the benefits of jumping through the hoops and putting them at that site are (as opposed to just posting directly here); but I told them that I would, so I will. Also, they’re nice enough to list Triumph & Despair in their grouping of sites that “We Like“, so why not return the favor and shower them with lovely sidetreks?

Rogue Event 13 – Large Asteroid Field gsa.thegamernation.org/2013/06/19/rogue-event-13-large-asteroid-field/
I’ve hit a little jolt of creativity on this front recently, so expect to see Rogue Event 14 and Rogue Event 15 coming out soon. They’re already completed and shown on the Page list, but I still need to upload them to the GSA.
Every time I write one of these things, I get the FTL soundtrack stuck in my head all day.

If you didn’t catch it yet, the GSA is hosting the next Rogue Event that I wrote. The original sequence from FTL is a simple puzzle, great for the pacing of the original game, but lacking the kind of depth needed for a brain-teaser in an RPG venue. Aha! Thought to myself, the ol’ Zebra Puzzle would be a good fit here.

In case you missed it, the GSA is hosting the next Rogue Event, Alien Research Facility.
It’s pretty awesome and I designed a whole new species for it. Check it out!

My first article for the GSA continues the series of Rogue Events and sets up some formatting precedent that I have updated the previous entries with. Also, it has lightsabers.
